Last week in Seattle, JumpFly had the incredible opportunity to attend Amazon’s flagship event, Amazon Accelerate, and we’re excited to share groundbreaking announcements that are set to redefine the e-commerce landscape. This year’s event focused on Amazon’s continued innovation, enabling sellers to reach customers faster, streamline operations and grow their businesses like never before.
The AI steals the show
AI was clearly the star of the event. Artificial intelligence will soon be integrated into almost every aspect of Amazon’s business. From content creation and compliance reviews to video and image producers, it’s clear that Amazon is using AI. A few highlights include:
- Amelia project: Amazon’s new sales assistant with artificial intelligence promises a revolution in seller account management. Be careful setting it up. It can be a game changer.
- Artificial Intelligence Business Planner and Custom Analytics: These tools provide deeper insight into Amazon businesses and help us make more informed decisions faster.
Supply chain by Amazon
One of the most exciting highlights was its expansion Supply chain by Amazon. This integrated solution simplifies operations and optimizes inventory placement, resulting in faster delivery speeds and an average 20% increase in sales per Amazon. Hundreds of thousands of sellers are already using the service, with multiple service adoption set to triple in the first half of 2024.
The fully managed option for US sellers automates the entire supply chain process – from pickup to Amazon fulfillment. Sellers simply provide product details and pickup locations, and Amazon handles the rest, including carrier delivery, inventory consolidation, and strategic fulfillment at fulfillment centers. This fully managed option will be available to all US dealers for domestic pickups in October and global pickups by the end of the year.
Improved multi-channel distribution
Amazon Warehousing and Distribution (AWD) has also upgraded itself Multi-channel distribution Capabilities Sellers can now use custom labeling that enables mass distribution of products across multiple sales channels, including other marketplaces, wholesalers, distributors, and physical stores. By consolidating inventory into AWD, dealers can reduce total inventory requirements resulting in significant savings and prevent stockouts, which in turn drives more sales.
Third-party apps embedded in Seller Central
Amazon enhances workflow by allowing sellers to access and use third-party applications directly through a central seller interface. Later this year, Amazon plans to test embedding these apps, enabling sellers to access their favorite tools — both on and off Amazon — in a personalized portal. This integration is set to increase efficiency by centralizing business management needs.
Shopping with prime and multi-channel execution: expanding opportunities
Shop with Prime and Amazon Multi-Channel Fulfillment (MCF) Released several enhancements aimed at improving the business and buyer experience. These updates are designed to help businesses of all sizes increase their sales on Amazon and other platforms.
- Wide payment options with PayPal: Starting next year, sellers will be able to offer Prime shopping benefits directly through PayPal payments. Prime members can link their Amazon account to their PayPal account, providing automatic access to Prime’s free and fast shipping benefits. This integration is expected to increase customer convenience and generate higher conversion rates.
- New advertising solutions: Sellers can now use Amazon’s demand-side platform, Google Shopping Ads, and TikTok Ads to drive more traffic to their purchases of Prime-enabled items. These tools provide wide reach and targeted advertising options to attract more customers.
- Update Shopify: Improved integrations mean purchases with Prime and non-Prime orders can now be combined into one shopping cart, simplifying the checkout process for customers.
So far this year, orders with Prime states through merchant sites are up more than 45 percent year-over-year, resulting in an average 16 percent increase in revenue per buyer. In addition, MCF currently serves more than 200,000 US merchants, and total orders placed have increased by 70% over last year.
Amazon Shipping Mobile App: Empowering Sellers on the Go
In response to the growing need for mobility and flexibility, Amazon introduced the new Amazon shipping mobile application. This app allows sellers to:
- Schedule pickups Directly from their warehouses
- Inventory monitoring In several warehouses
- Get updates in real time In delivery vehicles
- Access to customer support from anywhere
By integrating with over 50 common shipping software partners, the app simplifies logistics management, making it more efficient and accessible.
Veeqo Profit Analyzer: real-time profit tracking
Understanding profitability is critical to growing your business and Amazon Veeqo Profit Analyzer It addresses this need with an all-in-one dashboard that tracks profits in real-time. Provides a detailed breakdown of key costs, including shipping costs, product costs, fees and advertising costs. Sellers can analyze profits from Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA), orders placed by the seller, and other sales channels, reducing time spent on spreadsheets and allowing more focus on business expansion.
Drones fly
Amazon expands its drone delivery service with the new MK30 drone. After a successful trial in Texas, they plan to launch their operation in Arizona, promising to deliver in less than 13 minutes. This can significantly affect delivery times and customer satisfaction.
